Overview
The Coo-Var Acid Etch is a special blend of acids and wetting agents that can be used to clean and 'etch' concrete and mortared floors. Also ideal for use on smooth surfaces such as power-floated concrete floors as it creates a 'key' and prepares the surface for painting when blasting and mechanical abrasion are not practical. It will remove all laitance and salts from concrete and renders. Simply use it as a diluted solution.

Application
Always wear suitable personal protective equipment when using Acid Etch, test a small area of the surface to ensure this product is compatible.
- Mix 1 part Coo-Var Acid Etch with 3 parts water.
- Apply to the surface, the product will begin to bubble as it reacts.
- As the bubbling stops the remaining solution should be removed with clean, fresh water.
- , further applications may be necessary depending upon the severity of etch /cleaning required.
- Allow the surface to completely dry before attempting to paint the surface
